Without further introduction let’s cut to the chase.
Meadows & io is looking a for label to collaborate with on the release of their second album Above and Below.
A progressive neo-psychedelic space-rock bonanza drenched in sonic textures.
The album was recorded during 4 intense days in September 2023 at Studio Paradiso with Jørgen Smådal Larsen behind the desk. Additional recordings and experimentations were completed at the Big Pink, led by V.E and C.A.B.Gulbrandsen.
It has all been mixed by the legendary Bård Ingebrigtsen.
The music committed to tape is 10 pieces of music from the live-show Orion, an 1 hour audio-visual extravaganza which was preformed exclusively at Kongsberg Jazzfestival in 2023 and 2024.
The members received a grant from Viken Fylkeskommune to record this material.
The recorded music is approximately 70min long, the following playlist is in no particular order.
In regards to the release we see three possible scenarios:
1. Double vinyl + digital
2. Two individual but connected vinyl + digital
3. Single vinyl with selected works + complete digital release
